Recreational Dance & Tumble

Here at FA, our recreational dancers receive the same high-quality level of training as our competition dancers because we believe all dancers deserve to be trained like professionals. All of our recreational classes are taught by our highly trained competition staff. Recreational dancers will learn the fundamentals of dance along with beginner-level choreography in the styles of dance they select to train in.

The FA accepts dancers as young as 18 months In our grown-up and me program. Our recreational program is geared towards kids 18mos-10yrs. Interested in ballet or technique classes? We offer these classes for ALL ages for our dancers who are more serious about technique, training, & growth. All scheduling is done online through our REGISTER HERE button below.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & DRESSCODE

Class Dress Code

We want our students to feel comfortable in what they wear to class!

Tip Toes, Lyrical, Contemporary & Jazz your dancer can wear a combination of a leotard, tights (convertible tights only), and ballet skirt, bike shorts or leggings and a non-restrictive top. Ballet slippers or pirouette shoes are preferred but not required (required for beg ballet). Ballet shoes should be ballet pink or pink. Tip toes classes also do tap. We ask that you have black tap shoes. Please write your child’s name in the inside of all shoes.
For all dance tech classes Pirouette Shoes or ( toe undies) are required along with non restrictive dance clothing such as fitted shorts or leggings, Leotard or fitted top.
Cheer Dance will wear Pirouette Shoes or (toe undies). Dancers can wear non-restrictive athletic clothing.
For tap, black tap shoes are required. Dancers can wear non-restrictive athletic clothing.

For Hip Hop & tumble , shorts or leggings and a t-shirt, tank top or leotard with jazz shoes or tennis shoes work best.

We ask that hair is always secured back out of face in all classes with no jewelry.

Intro to dance (mini prep) CLASS

Mini Dance Prep Class Ages 6-9

If your dancer loves to perform then this is the class for them. Dance Prep teaches stretching, center technique, across the floor & multiple style routine combinations.This class is a great introduction to become performance ready and uses the proper discipline to ready these tiny dancers to take the stage as a potential competitive dancer.

Beginner/Kinder Ballet

Beg Ballet Ages 4 & up! Ballet is one of the oldest styles of dance and is taught throughout the world. Ballet is a style of dance based on vocabulary and technique. Classes combine stretching, barre exercises and center technique work. Ballet is the most disciplined style of dance and provides the perfect foundation for any dancer. We strive to teach discipline and structure while keeping class fun for this age group.

Tip Toes Tap & Ballet

Tip Toes Tap & Ballet Ages 3-5 and 4-6

This class is designed to introduce the basic dance steps in a fun and friendly environment. We also work on gross motor and balance while using fun music and lots of creative and imagination. This class incorporates ballet, tap and jazz technique while also encouraging self-expression and creativity. High energy music is used throughout the class keep dancers moving and having fun!

Cheer Dance

Our cheer dance classes are a great introduction to cheer! Cheer class is a combo tumble and pom class. This class is a fun low-key way to get your kiddo ready for our competitive cheer program. Ages 3-5 and 6-10.

This class does not do any stunting.

Grown up & Me

Tiny Tip Toes Ages 18months - 3 years

This class is a wonderful transition to a structured environment & great introduction to dance for little ones who are ready to dance with mommy or daddy in the room. The class is designed to introduce the basic dance steps in a fun and friendly environment. We also work on gross motor and balance while using fun music and lots of creative and imagination.

Intro to Tumble

Intro To Tumble Ages 3-5

Activities includes several obstacle courses that incorporate basic aspects of Gymnastics|Tumble including: Tumbling, Coordination drills, and other activities to help with Motor Skills. These classes will help your child learn the basic skills while boosting their self confidence!

Beggining Tumble

Beginning tumble Ages 5 & Up

Tumbling classes range in level. Activities include Floor Exercise, tumble drills|skills and Conditioning. Tumbling classes will also complement athletes who are looking to set themselves apart in other sports such as dance, karate, cheerleading, diving and many other sports!

Little to no experience. Concentrating on Rolls, Handstands, Cartwheels, Round Offs, Bridge Kickover, Introducing Back Handsprings.

HIp Hop Ages 6 & Up

Our Hip Hop classes combine a warm up, grooves, across the floor combinations and a center combination. This hard hitting and powerful form of dance allows students of all ages to enjoy letting loose while learning body isolation and coordination skills while listening to fast paced music they love!

Dance Team Prep classes

These classes are geared towards students entering grades 4-8 who are interested in doing school dance. Dancers in these classes work on jazz, pom, hiphop and general technique.

Intermediate and Advanced Tumble Age 6 & Up

Intermediate tumble is one step above our beginner tumble class. Requirements for this class are backbend, cartwheel and roundoff.

Advanced tumble is for those who have completed Intermediate Tumble. Must have back walkover to enroll.

Hip Hop Tumble

Ages 3-5

Hip hop is a hard hitting dance style focused on sharp moves and finding the groove. Combined with basic tumbling this class is sure to be a favorite!

Tap & Jazz

Tap dancing develops a keen sense of rhythm, timing & musical awareness. Mixed with Jazz dance that introduces stylistic dance vocabulary for a fun, funky & expressive way of dancing!
