KAYLEE MONROE
OWNER & DIRECTOR
Mrs. Kaylee is the owner and founder of The Force Dance Academy. She founded The Force in 2013 for 4 dancers who were seeking a new studio where they could explore new styles and pursue their dance careers. Kaylee began dancing at the of age 12 where she first discovered her love for choreography. She has been choreographing & teaching for over 12 years now. She holds numerous regional and national titles for her choreography. She has trained athletes who have been able to achieve the highest soloist titles and adjudications at events throughout the US. Her routines have been recognized for best choreography, best technique, most entertaining, highest score, and video of the week nominations. The Force has also been recognized as the best of the best studio on both the regional and national level. Outside of The FA, she choreographs for middle and high school dance teams who continue to achieve Regional & State Championships with their routines. She has also started the Share Your Gifts Movement combined with The Dance Connection allowing her to put a name to her Choreography brand and travel to work with other studios & dancers. The Dance Connections goal is to help connect the dance world through choreography, workshops & events. Mrs. Kaylee's goal is to bring the art of dance to the youth across Kentucky and beyond, but more importantly leaving a footprint on athletes to be the best person they can be on and off the dance floor.
LUCY STEWART
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR & COORDINATOR
Miss Lucy has been dancing since age 4 and has been teaching for 15 years. She has trained in rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatics, ballet, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary & lyrical. After high school, she continued her dance education at The Lexington Ballet. She went on to dance and choreograph with the Eastern Kentucky University Dance Theatre program where she was awarded "Outstanding Newcomer" in 2012. She retired from her performance dance career at the age of 25 to focus on her passion for teaching. Lucy has been at teacher at The Force since it's opening in 2013. Lucy loves working with the youngest dancers and future stars!
MAGGIE GREGORY

Maggie Gregory is currently a student at EKU & an Instructor/ Choreographer for TDA & Force Dance Academy. She danced competitively for several years earning top title awards, overall rankings, scholarships and National titles!
Maggie’s choreography has been recognized on a Regional & National level. She specializes in contemporary, Jazz & hip hop! Maggie is passionate about pouring her knowledge and creativity into the athletes she works with!

BROOKE MELLO
HEAD OF BALLET ACADEMY
Brooke Mello started her early training at Carroll County Dance center just outside her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland at the age of seven. In high school she was accepted to The Baltimore School for the Arts with a focus in classical ballet under the direction of Norma Pera. During her time there she studied ballet along with jazz, tap, and various modern styles. After high school, Miss Mello attended Butler University where she performed with Butler Ballet and studied pedagogy. Upon graduation in 2017 with a B.F.A. in dance performance, she was offered a position with Kentucky Ballet Theatre where she began her professional ballet career. Since then she has also joined the teaching staff at the KBT Academy and has taught at various studios around the Lexington area & is FAs in home Ballet Academy Lead Instructor.
REBECCA MAGUET
INSTRUCTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER
My name is Rebecca Bass Maguet. I am 48 years old, a mom of four adult children & I have been blessed with a burning passion for the art & joy of personal expression! I have been a choreographer & instructor for 33 years, a dance coach for competition dancers for 20 years, owned a dance studio for 10 years, coached a high school dance team, creative director & choreographer for Diane McCowans, taught gymnastics to all age levels, and currently I am on staff at The Force Dance Academy in Richmond, KY. Over the years I have won multiple entertainment, jazz & hip hop choreography awards. My most recent award was being nominated on a national level for Choreographer of the year for a Jazz routine called “Conga”. I was honored to make it to the top 5! I have soloist as well as groups whom have won National champion titles.
Currently I teach multiple classes for ages 5-18 in technique, turns, leaps, combos, ballet barre strength, flexibility, & body alignment in addition to coaching/cleaning several competition routines each week. My styles of expertise are jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, Acro, hip hop, latin & American forms of ballroom (cha cha, rhumba, swing, waltz). I have been a life coach for the past 4 years to all ages of women! Helping others reach their goals motivates me every single day! In addition to my studio training & educating I also learned and taught ballroom dance in Jackson, Mississippi in my early 20’s. I absolutely love the energy I feel from teaching master classes, & convention style classes! Motivating, encouraging, and breathing belief into dancers to rise above limiting beliefs lights my soul on fire!

HEATHER HOLLIDAY
INSTRUCTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER
Heather Holliday is a resident of London KY. She began dancing at 8 years old and started teaching and doing choreography at age 14. Heather has trained in all areas of dance including classical ballet, lyrical, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop and contemporary.
Heather began her training at the Gail Fredrick School of Dance in Corbin KY. She spent the summer of 1988 at the Enid Knapp Botsford School of Dance where she got to train under the supervision of Mikhail Baryshnikov. Heather competed in the regional and national Stars of Tomorrow competition where she placed 2nd in the nation at age 14 in ballet solo. Heather joined the London School of Dance in 1990 where she trained under amazing instructors including Jan Hurst, Jennique Wolfe and Linda Miller Hathaway. At age 16 she was recruited by a talent scout and invited to Dance at the 1994 Opening Ceremonies of the Goodwill Games held in St. Petersburg, Russia. One of Heather’s favorite accolades was In 1992 when she was 1 or 16 dancers selected out of the state of Kentucky to attend The Kentucky Governors School for the Arts in the form of dance. Heather began to travel all over the country to study with instructors such as Gus Giordano and Luigi. In 1995-96, Heather played the roles in traveling productions of Fame and Grease. Heather began dancing with the Lexington Ballet in 1996-1998.
In 1999 Heather began teaching and choreographing full time. She formerly ran her own studio until she retired in 2019. She ended the studio with 14 National Titles, 3 World Titles, and 1 Summit World Title. She currently continues to fill her time doing choreography and technique for teams, studios and individuals. Heather has judged for UDA for 15 years.
RYLEIGH BLYTHE
INSTRUCTOR
Hello, my name is Ryleigh Blythe. I have been dancing for 15 years. Training in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and pom. I began competitive dance in elementary school, a team member of B. Michael Caudill Middle School, and moved on to start training with the Madison Central Indians competing at the national level in game day, jazz and pom. In 2021-2022 I was a team member of the University of Kentucky Blue Dance Squad and I am excited to continue my dance journey teaching and sharing my experience and knowledge with others.
